McNett Aquasure 2x7g
Aquasure® urethane rubber adhesive provides a clear, strong and flexible finish
suitable for permanent waterproof repairs to holes, tears or leaking seams in most
types of water sports items i. e. Neoprene wet and dry suits, gloves, rubber boots, latex
neck and wrist seals, surf kites and bladders, inflatable mattresses, kayaks, toys,
waterproof clothing or pool linings etc.Aquasure may also be applied to high wear
areas such as Neoprene knee and elbow sections to help protect against abrasion.
Directions:
Clean damaged neoprene with McNett Cotol-240™. For non-fabric surfaces,
roughen then clean. Apply Aquasure® directly from tube, or with brush. Let dry
overnight (10-14 hours). For 2 hour cure, use McNett Cotol-240 Accelerator. Holes and
Tears: Create backing with removable tape.Fill void and 5 mm beyond edge with
Aquasure. Remove tape after full cure. Seams: Apply 2 mm thick bead overlapping
seam edges by at least 5 mm. Apply with slight pressure to saturate fabric surfaces.
Note: Avoid contact with skin. To remove Aquasure from hands, buff with cloth soaked
in 99% isopropyl alcohol then wash with soap and water. Warning: Cured Aquasure is
slippery when wet. For added traction on footwear, sprinkle sand on uncured
Aquasure 1/2 hour after applying. Storage: Once opened, Aquasure will cure in tube if
not stored properly. Avoid contact with moisture. Advance contents to tube neck.
Wipe clean and cap. Store in cool dry place. To extend use life, place tube in a closed
plastic bag in freezer. Heat to room temperature six hours before use. During
cold weather unopened Aquasure will harden in the tube. To return Aquasure to
it’s normal condition or to achieve easier flowing contents, soak tube in warm water
for 15 minutes or hold tube in warm hands until tube content softens.
