In this area are located the famous Zagorohoria, the 46 traditional villages tucked in a mountainous area in the north of the Pindos range. Zagori is famous for Drakolimni and Vikos gorge, located in the heart of the Unesco Geopark Vikou-Aoou.
The most famous peak in Tymfi are Gamila, Astraka and Goura.
